Placement

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering graduates roughly 30 students with Bachelor of Science degrees, 20 students with Master of Science degrees, and 10 students with Doctor of Philosophy degrees each year. Our students master fundamental and cutting edge skills in civil and environmental engineering, but also are prepared with life skills for continuous learning, entrepreneurship, communications and problem solving.

Most recruiting is managed by the Carnegie Mellon Career Center, including job fairs. On occasion, the Department will make interview rooms available or host corporate information meetings. A resume book for graduates is prepared in the early spring term each year.
